Skulls reduced to their simplest essence: 16 × 16 black-and-white pixels.

My contribution to PXC-256 is a roughly 50-pixel skull exploring how far I could simplify one of my most recurring subjects while still retaining its identity.

PixelChain 256 is a collection of 2,048 artworks created on a 16 × 16 black-and-white grid and stored entirely on-chain. Each artwork is encoded directly into its token ID, with the image generated by the smart contract and the metadata stored on Ethereum — no external backend required.

For me, it was the perfect excuse to reduce a skull to almost nothing and see how little could remain before it stopped being a skull.
